Reactions for chat messages
Would like to be able to add a "reaction" emoticon to another user's chat message, such as a thumbs up.
More user preferences for notifications
Would like to have more control over type of notifications received, and in what format. Example preferences:
- Get notifications of ALL chat messages in specified teams, not just @mentions
- Get push notifications all the time, not just when "away" or "offline"
Admin control of who can create Forums, Teams, Users
Currently, any member can create Forums or Teams. As an Admin, I would like to be able to limit who can create Forums and Teams. Especially Forums, which are visible to all other members.
Remove Users
Currently users can only be Deactivated, but not removed. Please enable account deletion/removal.
Synchronize notifications between desktop and phone
When I read a message on desktop I would be nice if the notification on the phone was canceled and vice versa.
"Remind Me" Option for Chats
We LOVE the "Remind Me" button for Posts and would like to see it available for chats as well. Quite often we'll see a chat that requires action but we can't take action at the very moment (whether on our mobile or desktop). Currently the only way to remind ourselves about that chat is to promote it to a post and then set a reminder.
Currently it's still much better for us to email co-workers something that is actionable because it will remain in their inbox until they actively delete archive it. If we could set a reminder from a chat it would solve that problem (of course we'd like to be able to decide when to remind us on a chat per chat basis and I see this as another topic in these forums).
Mark a Post as "archived" or "completed"
Would like to be able to archive an individual post in a Forum or Team, and to be able to filter the POSTS tab so that it only shows the "active" posts.
Add a "Director" or "Owner" role for Ryver Accounts to manage Admin accounts
Currently there is only the elevated "admin" accounts. For some communities that may be fine, but for many, there needs be at least one more higher account for managing admins. This allows the Account to be managed by multiple individuals, the admins, but ensures that ownership of the account is retained by select, trusted individuals. A teammate and I tested this out and though I had created the account, as another admin, he was able to revoke my admin rights and deactivate my account.
Integrate a Voice Communication Tool or Improve Google Hangouts Integration
Quick calls with team members is a must-have feature and the Current Google Hangout integration is clunky. It also cannot support calls of more than 10 people (because it defaults to a video call). I think there are several options that could greatly improve this experience.
- Update the Google Hangout Button so it creates the Hangout and then posts this hangout url into the team chat or direct message. This will allow one person to create the call and the rest of the members will see that call in the Chat area and can click to join.
- Update the Google Hangout Link to Open in the Google Hangouts Desktop App if Present. We use Google Hangouts and have it open on our computer but the Ryver Link that is created opens a url in the browser. When clicked, we have the Hangouts App Open but we're forced to hang out in the browser. Very frustrating.
- OR - Create your own voice application in Ryver (like your competitor just released in Beta) that will allow teams to call each other directly!
- OR - Create a strong integration with another VOIP partner or Skype. For example linking skype usernames to Ryver users and one click access to call them or a group.
The reality is that it's tough to completely ditch our previous communication tools when we don't have a simple one-click method to talk with each other.
Provide option to hide email address from User Profile and User lists
1. Allow users to specify whether their email address should be shown in their Profile and user lists.
2. Allow the Admin to force hiding of email address for all users
