Inline Playback of Uploaded Media

icex 9 months ago in Chat 0

Would it be possible to add inline media playback of uploaded content(.mp3, .mp4, .wav, and .mov) into ryver similar to slack so that users do not have to download or leave the ryver chat to see the content.

Bug when trying to mention a channel with a tiret

José 11 months ago in Chat • updated by jeff 11 months ago 1

Hello,

I just found a bug. When i'm in a channel and want to mention another channel (with +nameofthechannel for example), there is a bug if the mentioned channel had a tiret. For example +new-channel doesn't work (there is no link).

Text is being removed automatically

Austin Best 1 year ago in Chat • updated 9 months ago 3

So as a software developer, i refer to versions ALOT. However i guess Ryver does not like speaking of versions...

5.1.*, 5.5.*, 6.0.*

When i put that in the chat to refer to 3 major builds with any of the revisions related, Ryver takes it upon its self to change that to

5.1., 5.5., 6.0.*

So it appears there is a problem with a period followed by the asterisk followed by a comma?????

Way to CANCEL uploads

Austin Best 1 year ago in Chat • updated 9 months ago 1

If i drop a large file in the chat window and it starts uploading, there is no way to stop the process. If i uploaded the wrong one or just dont want to transfer it after seeing how slow it is, i should be able to simly cancel it. I shouldn't have to wait until the upload is complete before being able to undo it.

If i am missing something, please let me know. I couldn't click on the progress bar or right click on it either so i see no way to do this. Oversight maybe?

Spell Checker and language

TheZopo 1 year ago in Chat • updated by jeff 1 year ago 1

Hi guys and thank you for your awesome product !

In the app the default language is english, so when you are typing in another language the spell checker is just underlining all the words ! Can we juste choose the browser language of the app for fixing this ?

Thank you !

View messages in a forum or team without getting pinned

Josh 1 year ago in Chat • updated by emily_moran 1 year ago 2

As a administrator of many different private teams that I do not engage with on a daily basis, I want the ability to view the chat messages without having each one pinned to my navigation bar. This could work by sliding in the forum or team if I click on it without pinning it unless I explicitly do so.

Clicking reply twice doesn't work correctly

Andreas 2 years ago in Chat • updated by jeff 2 years ago 1

When you click reply on two messages you will get this (Windows client used):

> *Name1 said:*
> Message1> *Name2 said:*
> Message2

instead of for example

> *Name1 said:*
> Message1

> *Name2 said:*
> Message2

So I think 1 or 2 newlines should be added in this case, another way to do it would be to allow replying to multiple messages at once. This would mean you need a way to select multiple messages at once, that could also work well together with the promote to post function.

Embedding images does not cause enough scrolling

Andreas 2 years ago in Chat • updated by jeff 12 months ago 3

If I embed an image with ![](image url) when using the Windows desktop client the chat will not scroll far enough down (probably depending on image size). I have not checked if the same goes for different platforms.
