You now have a preference for light or dark nav bar. We will shortly be providing an additional option for a "Full Dark" theme. Adding other color themes might come at a later time, but we're going to leave it with the light/dark/combo options for now. Thanks!

We originally were not thrilled with the idea of read receipts, just on principle as a privacy thing. But you're right that this has become more common in other social software. Perhaps with a user option to turn the read receipt off.

So we will go ahead and take a closer look at this. One thing we would need to do in order to make this feature useful would be to come up with some rules around what constitutes "read". For example, if I scroll really quickly through a chat room, have I read all of the messages? And for Posts, does it count as "read" if I was looking through my POSTS tab in collapsed mode?

I'm sure we can come up with a reasonable set of rules for this. Then we'll need to determine scope and prioritize it.

We've gotten some good feedback here. Thank you! This is a tricky area given the potential security and privacy concerns once data has been exported. Our original thought was that only content from Open Forums would be exportable in the free service, with Compliance Audit Exports coming in a premium service later in 2017.

We are looking at what implications there might be if we also include a Private Team export option in the free service. Perhaps as Richard mentioned, with an option that is turned on by the Admin, and then notice is given to all of the users.

Ok, thanks Austin. So that means something can happen that gets the client in a state where it stops displaying. We'll be on the look out for that.

Thanks Austin. I'm curious...if you were to do View > Reload on your Ryver client (or refresh your browser tab), does that fix it at least temporarily?

We currently do not have a hook into the Screen Lock / Screen Saver event. We will add that in our next round of Desktop updates!

Hmm...we certainly didn't intend for that to go away. We are seeing the "<name> is typing" text just above the chat text box here at Ryver HQ (for Direct Messages). We'll run some tests in various versions of the desktop client and browsers to see if we can reproduce the issue.

Hi Martin. So are you looking for a user option to juts not see the previews yourself? Or you want to be able to add a link at the end of a message and not have it generate a preview for others?

If the former, we do have a chat command where you can type /collapse in a chat room, and it will collapse all of the previews there unless you manually expand them. There is also a global preference for this.

Thank you for the update on this one! That might explain why you and one other person saw the "All Webhooks" issue, but we haven't been able to reproduce it, and nobody else ran into it.

Please note that version 1.2.0 of the desktop app now has support for auto-update of future versions.

Good! Regarding release notes, we do always put a system message banner up at the top of the Ryver client after each upgrade announcing that an upgrade has been completed, and providing a link to our release notes. You can also look under the drop-down menu at the top of the nav bar to get a link to release notes.

I think what we're also going to do is add some kind of "badge" up there to get your attention when there are new updates.
