Hi Andreas - So are you asking for a chat command that would allow any user to send a notification in the NOTIFICATIONS tab to another user? Like:

/notify @andreas "Hey Andreas, don't forget we're meeting at our other office tomorrow!"

We are testing out new right-click context menu support in the desktop app, and testing spelling corrections along with it. Hoping to roll a big desktop client update out within the next week!

Right now, our focus is on the Task Board feature. We have updated the pricing page to show an image of what a Task Board would look like. The calendar view might come later, but for now we are focusing on the list/board views.

We do have a Task Board feature (think Trello board for your Team/Forum) in progress. Doing Calendar and Contact Mgmt. is certainly something that plays into our history, as we started out as a CRM cloud service and then shifted to focus on team communication.

It's probably going to be a while, but we will likely be adding on premium Calendar/Contact features in the future.

Thanks for this suggestoin, Aaron. Just to make sure I understand correctly, you want to make the pinned forum tab in the nav bar turn yellow, as if there are new chat messages in it?

We do have another feature request to add a "Remind Me" button to chat like we have on Posts/Comments. This would send you an actual notification in the NOTIFICATIONS tab, reminding you to revisit a particular chat message. Does this sound like it would do the trick for you?

Interesting idea. We'll discuss this. Since it wouldn't be a Team, Forum or User (Direct Messages), it would probably need to be its own section.

For now, what we typically recommend for external links that are access on a regular basis is to create a "Sticky" post in a forum/team that includes related links. But I realize you are envisioning something a little more global.

We're evaluating some different options here, including keeping the message a lighter gray in the chat history until it successfully sends. We see that mechanism being used in other chat products as well.
