It sounds like you're aware that you can add links in Ryver by typing something like:
[Google Link](www.google.com)

However, you want to additionally specify a target? Are you wanting this to be a personal user preference so that when you are running Ryver in the browser, it will open links a certain way when you click on them? Such as in a new browser window, rather than in a browser tab?

Or are you wanting to apply a target to a link that you are adding to a message, and force it to open a certain way for other users?

I'm not sure what you mean by notifications not occuring if the App isn't open. Push notifications should occur whenever the mobile app is in the background or completely closed. Especially for Direct Messages. For team/forum chat, it's different, since you only get notified of @mentions, not all messages.

If you don't seem to be getting Direct Message push notifications, please contact support so we can troubleshoot what is happening on your device. Thanks!

Ok, we'll take a look at providing an Admin option. We put that feature in there because there were a ton of complaints about people not realizing there were new forums.

We do wait a minute right now before sending an email, in case a bunch of messages come through in succession. But we will look into additional frequency options.

Also, if you just don't want the emails at all, you can turn that off in My Settings > Notifications.

A lower frequency email would actually be good for our server load as well. :-) We'll take a look at what it would take to add a configurable frequency. We'll also need to look into how we would go about combining different types of notifications. Today, that part is simple since we just need to put one thing (chat, post or comment) into the email.

Would you want one number that represents all of the unread posts, comments and chat messages? What if there was just a generic badge on the nav bar (like today), but when you want to the forum or team, you saw numbers on the CHAT and POSTS tabs?

Or do you definitely want it available without having to select the tab in the nav bar?

This could get a little messy if we tried to make that feature available to all users, since they would only have delete rights to their own messages. But perhaps this could be done as a feature only available to the team or organization admin.

We need to work on a new scrolling/paging API for our chat view, then we'll add the ability to go directly to a particular message. I don't have a timeframe for this effort just yet.

hi Gerhard,

We have been planning to add an "Archive" option for posts. Archiving a post would remove it from the main/active POSTS stream for that forum or team. So when you conclude a discussion, you could archive it to get it out of the way. You would then be able to also "View Archived Posts" if you like.

Would this satisfy your use case, or would you rather be able to just mark a particular comment and leave that post active in the POSTS stream?

Hi Jake. Am I understanding this correctly that the links you would have would not be to other Ryver organizations, but potentially to other non-Ryver websites? Basically, let you define any web link and keep it in the "Organizations" list?
