I wonder if this is related to my issues with poor behavior of the text input box in general.

It's a company computer but there is no monitoring software. It's a small business so they are simply networked single-user computers.

This is very annoying, when using /giphy it still doesn't scroll all the way down to see the full graphic. You have to scroll manually.
