Unread count per team/forum

Frederick Kuhne 7 years ago updated by Karel 6 years ago 4

It would be useful to have a count of unread items as a prefix or suffix on the team/forum name.

Ie. <UnreadCount><TeamName>

Add Auto-scroll to message feature

fxfighter 7 years ago updated by jeff 7 years ago 1

Slack has a feature where you can right click on the timestamp next to any message and paste that as a perma link into chat, when clicked the link autoscrolls the chat to that message.

The reply feature in Ryver should be able to serve this same purpose.

Provide integration with RSS feeds

Bill Gravelle 8 years ago updated by jeff 6 years ago 6

I know you initially encourages this integration via Zapier. We're using this successfully for a few feeds, paying only the Basic monthly fee to Zapier. However, I'm looking to integrate feeds from a wiki that would require me to add several dozen more API definitions - that would increase our monthly fee within Zapier considerably.

Is there any way that Ryver can provide this integration directly - or is there an alternate service that would be less expensive to aggregate many RSS feeds - or is there some programming solution available through the Ryver Developer APIs?

Please help - thanks, *bg

Webhooks and advanced integrations

Bill Gravelle 8 years ago updated by jeff 6 years ago 4

I see [here](http://support.ryver.com/api-invite-users/) in the support document from March2016 that webhooks were 'coming soon'.

We've been able to use the Enrollment URL facility for a while; but it's probably time for us to start enhancing the user experience. If the advanced integration facilities are available (even in an early release mode), then we'd be a great community to experiment with and help refine it.

TheZopo 8 years ago updated by ChrisJ 6 years ago 2

Hi guys and thank you for your awesome product !

In the app the default language is english, so when you are typing in another language the spell checker is just underlining all the words ! Can we juste choose the browser language of the app for fixing this ?

Thank you !

Implementation of windows notifications

Austin Best 8 years ago updated by jeff 7 years ago 6

The windows desktop software should be using the standard windows API for notifications. If i receive a new message, i want to see that message in the bottom corner of my screen (similar to how every other messenger system works). Currently i have to install 3rd party software to achieve this and that makes no sense when there is a very simple windows API to accomplish this. Thanks for reading!

Auto-away status update

Jeremiah 8 years ago updated by Tim 6 years ago 6

I've seen other entries about automatically setting presence status to away or available based on computer activity, which is great but I don't think it works. I'm on windows 7 with the desktop app and I don't notice any change in status no matter how long computer inactivity is. ALSO, when I lock my windows machine, Ryver status should automatically be set to away, and when I unlock it, back to available, and it most definitely does not do that. That's the standard way chat applications have worked for decades. Should be standard in Ryver also.

Support anonymous, read-only access

Bill Gravelle 8 years ago updated by jeff 8 years ago 1

Our group is migrating from several other services and is concerned about the loss of openness. In our case, we would support anyone from the general public to read any of the Open Forums (similar to Gitter chat).

This would be especially important if we were to post links from our Open Forums to a public site - currently, unless the reader has an account within our group, then that link is useless. We would like to have some switch setting (via Eddy Bot) that would enable this support.

Obviously, the anonymous reader would not be able to comment or make any modification; but at least this feature would help our transparency and ease some of members hesitance to move across to Ryver.

Include time when using the reply function

Andreas 8 years ago updated by Mahomed 6 years ago 2

When you click reply on a message the author is included but I think also including time/date could be a good idea. It would make it easier to find the context both because you might more easily recall the conversation if you know when it happened and it will be easier to find if you want to scroll to it.
