Taskbar Notifications should take you to the message

MarcB 6 years ago 0

When I receive and click on a taskbar notification in Win10, it opens Ryver wherever I was last.  If I click the message in the taskbar, it should go directly to the message I'm clicking on.

Ctrl + Return for new lines like evey other chat application

Joel Jenvey 6 years ago 0

I had to look up how to create a new line in a Ryver message (Shift + Return). Every other chat application I've used (Skype, Lync, Slack, Facbook, Whatsapp) uses Ctrl + Return.

Would it be possible to change the key mappings to the more intuitive Ctrl + Return?

Schedule Future Post

mike walzl 6 years ago updated by CARLOS - EL COACH 6 years ago 1

Ability to have posts in Draft form or future schedule so that post can be created, and posted at a specified time/date. This keeps a post from getting "buried" in the stream at the time when it would be most relevant.

As a workaround - we create a post and toggle archive it, and when we want it to display, we un-toggle and sticky it to the top of the post feed.

Please, no notification of new tasks in team if not assigned to me / us

RvK 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 0

If he set's up a new projekt, the team leader starts hammering future tasks into the task list. Until he assigns each task to one member the list is just his plan. But every new task item causes a notification to each team member. Pling, pling, pling, pling, etc. :-)

We suggest that there are no notfications until a task is assigned to somebody.

Custom notification sounds

Fred The Ranger 7 years ago 0

Level for notifications is way too loud. I'd love to be able to upload my own or change the level of the existing ones.

Attachements not uploading

MarkB 7 years ago updated by VPHrishikesh Kokate 6 years ago 2

I'm editing a stickied post to attach new files. I intend to keep updating the top post to keep track of our meeting schedule and attach relevant files to this post. I tried uploading files from my harddrive to Ryver and attaching Google drive files, but although the text in the post is updated, the attachements do not show up at all. I tried the desktop client and the browser, neither are working.

Permit change of user name

Edward 7 years ago updated by Mahomed 6 years ago 1

People should be able to change their user name, but this appears not to be possible.

Someone may choose a name they later realise is inappropriate. Or two people with the same first name join and need to differentiate themselves: will everyone remember that the second Helen to join the organization is @helenr, not @helen?

Make the 'Edit' action more obvious and accessible

Edward 7 years ago 0

A common problem I've observed on Slack is that people do not initially realise that they can edit or delete their own posts. In Ryver this is arguably even more obscure: few people (outside tech circles) understand that a ⋮ signifies a submenu. It's a poor UX convention.

The edit action is probably the one most needed (certainly more frequently than 'Create Task'), so why not put this on the floating menu, rather than on the submenu? Maybe have the hover menu appear for a few seconds over a message after it's submitted so that people get to know it's there? Maybe consider replacing the ⋮ with a word (e.g. 'Actions')? Maybe allow people to customise the floating menu?

Bump Team when New Task Created

Michael Schuette 7 years ago 0

When a new task is created there is a popup that lets you know it has been created, and a notification in the "Notifications" section, but it would be nice if a new task is created it moved that Team to the top of the list and bolded that team as if there were a new chat message.  It would be similar to what happens when a new Post is created.  There is a notification in the Chat window and that team is bolded and moved to the top of your list if you sort by last activity.
