Welcome to the Ryver Product Ideas forum! We pride ourselves on constantly improving Ryver based on customer feedback. Here, you can view and vote on the current list of feature ideas, or add your own idea if you don't see it.
For immediate support, go to https://support.ryver.com and click the Chat tab in the lower left. You can also request help from the Send Feedback link in the top drop-down menu in the application nav bar.
We are a volunteer group and we do not require instant, daily communication. The email notifications for each post change or direct message are overwhelming for our members, as very few of them have jobs where they are at a computer all day. A daily digest or summary email for team chats and posts would allow for timely updates while being easy on the inbox. For us, the best time to send the digest would be early evening (or make it configurable).
Notifications should take you to the chat message and highlight just as a comment on a Post does.
Currently, when you click on a notification from inside the Notification section, certain ones take you directly to the chat (and highlight it in yellow) while others don't.
I would like to see it so that it also highlights Chat messages in the same way it does on a Comment.
Allow for setting a schedule for Do Not Disturb on a user account. During the times specified, notifications would go to Notifications tab but not email or push notifications. This would be useful when staff are working outside of business hours and want to send updates while thinking about tasks. Other staff could have DND setup to ensure they don't get a notification on their phone at 9pm or 2am. Or 10:42pm.
Sometimes there are some things that need to be done every week or every month. We could create tasks for them but tasks by themselves don't produce notifications. Plus, right now there's no recurring tasks either.
It would be nice to be able to set a recurring reminder, which could work on any message and also on tasks
Similiar to Post Stream, a method for following updates - chats and posts - which employ a specific tag. This could also be a saved search that displays matching new results. I see this being Notifications, and not a separate sidebar area.
Notifications should show the Chat, Topic or Task line (or lines) being reminded in Yellow Highlight
Right now, when you set a reminder on a chat, once you click on the notification, you see a thin red line above the message you set the reminder on. However, when you have set a reminder on the title of the topic or a task (not on one of the lines in them), there's no indicator of which part of the topic or task is the one you are being reminded about. So each time you are looking at a notification, you spend a little bit of time looking for the red line or trying to figure out what part of the screen you are looking at has the issue you are being reminded about.
I propose that whatever you set the reminder on, the notification should show the Chat, Topic or Task line (or lines) being reminded in YELLOW HIGHLIGHT. So if it's one line, it will highlight that line. If it's the whole topic or task, highlight the whole thing. And, if you (Ryver) prefer another highlight color instead of yellow for some reason, it's fine with me.
When marking a Post or Post comment as a Reminder, it can currently only use the prescribed setting. Allow each reminder to have a different delay, with the default being set in My Settings.
This would be more useful if reminder time periods were longer - not just 15 minutes to one day, but 2 days, 5 days, a week from now.
Would like direct messages to work like text messages. Notifications currently don't occur if the App isn't open on your device. If people on my team don't have the app running, or the desktop program open, notifications only happen via email
